For the past 35 years Armando has been a teacher,  principal, superintendent as well as Secretary of Education for the State of Vermont.  He has also had the honor of serving as the Superintendent of  Colchester schools. After leaving the Secretary of Ed position, he went to work and live in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Since returning to Vermont he has continued to work in education by serving as an educational advisor and interim superintendent. Armando has been actively involved in an organization called the Cuban American Friendship Society which has a license with the US and Cuban governments to allow for academic/professional trips to Cuba.
