Cancer Patient Support Foundation

The Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF) is a local nonprofit that provides financial support for local cancer patients and their families while they are in treatment. Many of their patients are unable to work or work reduced hours during treatment; just as their expenses are rising due to medical costs not covered by insurance and travel to the hospital. CPSF's Emergency Fund provides support to remove barriers to treatment including medical procedures not covered by insurance, prescriptions, transportation, and childcare. In addition, the Emergency Fund provides support for basic needs including housing, utilities, home heating, food, caregiver services, and durable medical equipment. Over $2 million has been awarded to local patients. CPSF serves the entire state of Vermont and Northern New York, assisting over 630 families each year. To find out more go to cpsfvt.org
