Kelly McCagg, Director of the Burnam Library, earned this year’s Rotary Club of Colchester-Milton Rotarian of the Year award.

Kelly joined the club in 2013 and has volunteered as its bookkeeper since 2016. Immediate past president Tony Moulton stated that McCagg’s “actions, from cooking and serving those experiencing homeless, to personally purchasing a sandwich for a lady she saw outside a cafe who was also struggling with homelessness” led to her selection for the award.

Moulton went on to say that McCagg’s actions “exemplified the ideals of the club.” Kelly also received the club's “Service Plug” award in 2017. She has been the Director of the Burnham Memorial Library in Colchester for six years and lives in Swanton with her husband Joshua and son Nicholas.
