The Colchester Milton Rotary Club is excited to announce that we are embarking on a project to recognize our community heroes with Operation Flags for Heroes. Our heroes include our soldiers, healthcare workers, school employees , fire and safety personnel, grocery store employees and community volunteers - all those essential to our daily living.
We will be displaying American Flags at highly visible locations in Colchester and Milton. Each flag will have a plaque that will honor a specific person or group and acknowledge their accomplishments.
This year we will be showing our flags over Labor Day weekend at Dick Mazza’s General Store on West Lakeshore Drive in Colchester and at RR Charlebois, Inc. on Route 7 in Milton. Please drive by to see how moving the Operation Flags for Heroes will be. Another display will occur on November 11th, Veterans Day. We will be taking orders for the Veterans Day flags immediately. And orders for the 5 big “hero” holidays will be accepted shortly . Do you have a hero that you’d like to honor? Find out how
Funds raised from this project will be used to meet community needs.
