For nearly half a century, the Colchester Holiday Basket Project has brought warmth and cheer to local families and seniors during the holiday season. What began in the 1970's with two local teachers filling boxes for students' families in need has grown into a cherished community tradition led by the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club.
Last year, nearly 100 local households received baskets filled with food, books, toys, and treats. This year, Rotary expects to distribute about 120 baskets.
This community tradition is 100% funded by donations, and the need is even greater this year. Our goal is to raise $15,000 - and with your help, we can do it!
We’re excited to share a new and convenient way to give through GiftDrive, a secure online platform developed by UVM students to help nonprofits receive the items they need most.
Through GiftDrive, you can:
Make a monetary donation, allowing us to purchase additional food and items to complete the baskets.
Purchase specific food items online that will be shipped directly to the Colchester-Milton Rotary at no cost to you.
